There are a couple of things that I do not EVER want to do.
1. I do not EVER want to get into a health product MLM never again;
2. I do not want to contribute to the panic and hysteria of the H1N1 “crisis”
As parents of a child with Aspergers Syndrome, a form of autism, my husband and I have been on the hunt for supplements to give to our son who eliminated fruits and vegetables from his diet completely by the age of 3. He is now 11 going on 12 and, without a bit of exaggeration, he has not put anything that resembles fruits or veggies to his mouth in nearly 9 years. That search led us to several different fantastic products, all of which are distributed through MLM or network marketing.
Our son’s condition has improved, and we KNOW it is because of the alternative products we have been successful in getting him to take. It started with EcoQuest. We were convinced that our water was polluted, and our indoor air was equally polluted. We believed that we could address our child’s allergy and asthma issues if we could treat the air that he breathes and the water he drinks. We were right. We were so excited to share those amazing products with the world. To our dismay, the world wasn’t ready!
We still needed to get him to eat SOMETHING with some nutrients in it. We tried everything - and again, I am not exaggerating. From drug store variety vitamins to super juices, all of which may have worked if we could get the child to TAKE them. Finally we found Amigo Juice . Another product distributed through multi level marketing. This was a product that he would not only take, but enjoyed! YaHoo! We hit the jackpot! Again, however, the world wasn’t convinced and we grew tired of trying to convince people to try it.
In our research we discovered other methods of providing not only our Aspergers child with good nutrition, but our other typically developing child as well. We were introduced to Ultra International and some truly fantastic products including the Body shake. This is a meal replacement product that is used for weight loss, but packs a full meal’s worth of nutrients into a delicious tasting “milk shake”. Our kids loved it. So once again, we were involved in another network marketing company!
We made the decision not to actively market health products because it was truly tiring. You have to first of all convince people that they need the product, then you have to work with them to teach them to promote the business, and you have to be constantly supporting and encouraging them. It is a lot of work! I am an internet marketer, and I love marketing online, but I don’t love the hassles involved with MLM. Instead, I decided to stick to affiliate marketing where there are none of those MLM headaches.
Then along came H1N1. We have been convinced that the childhood immunizations contributed to our son’s condition, and have been “anti vaccination”. But then we were faced with this “pandemic”. Both myself and my son have lung disease. When we get sick, we get really sick. I’ve been hospitalized for breathing issues caused by environmental triggers. A simple cold can render me breathless - literally, and I end up in hospital on oxygen and ventolin. The threat of the swine flu scares the heck out of me, but so does the vaccine. I am afraid to get the vaccine, and then, I am afraid not to, and I know I’m not alone. Everyone I talk to has fears around this virus.
As we were agonizing about whether to get vaccinated or not, and doing some research on the virus, the vaccine, and potential alternatives, a dear friend of mine sent me a link to a video. I’m going to be honest and tell you I still am afraid of the vaccine - both getting it and not getting it, but if this product is half as good as it claims to be… well suffice it to say, I feel obligated to spread the word.
Watch This Webinar! It is Critical!
So here I am doing two of the things I never wanted to do. I’m spreading the word on this product, and just by talking about the H1N1, I’m potentially contributing to the confusion and hysteria. If I can offer any advice at all, it would not be to steer clear of the vaccine, but rather it would be to educate yourself and weigh the risks and benefits to make the best decision for you and your family.
Sometimes you just have to do things that you really don’t want to do - sometimes its just that important.
