What can I do at Qassia?
You can add your websites, and get unlimited quality backlinks. There is no need to pay, or to link back to Qassia. Websites are processed instantly and ranked by the amount of credits you have amassed. To earn credits, you can add intel, i.e. tidbits of intelligence.
Why is Qassia needed?
Promoting a new site has never been easy, and it’s getting tougher every day. Site owners are forced to spend hours upon hours doing mundane and unproductive tasks such as exchanging links. Many give up, and splurge on advertising - which is why Google Adwords earns $1 billion per quarter.
How will Qassia generate traffic?
At Qassia, you will get credit for adding your intel. The more credit you get, the better your sites will rank. This provides incentive for site owners to contribute to Qassia. Thus harnessing the minds of millions, Qassia will become the largest repository of intelligence on the web.

Hello,
I am a creative writer first, (internet marketer 2nd), this “no-follow” rule social book marking communities such Simpy now uses, seems harsh for website owners. I would like to learn what the best solution is to help promote a new online social networking community, if all of these so-called, “Social” places continue to “BLOCK” internet users from utilizing their services.
Sorry for the vent, I just got an email saying I was “Self-Promoting, but aren’t we all?

LWT, to be honest with you, I don’t completely “get” the no follow rule. I’ll have to do some research to figure out how Qassia uses it when it advertises the creation of backlinks…
And yes, we are all “self promoting”, but there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. Blatent self promotion is fatal in social networking. One must be subtle about it.

Ah Shelley… indeed traffic is useless unless some of it converts to customers. I wish I could give you a short, sweet and accurate suggestion, but getting targeted traffic to your website is an art and a science and one that requires education.
You have to learn the skills and techniques to promote your website and it doesn’t happen overnight. The quickest way is to buy targeted traffic, and many successful people do (think adwords, pay per post, kontera), but that too requires you learn how to bid on keywords or go broke trying to.
Qassia is a new site, still in beta… we’ll all learn how it works together!

Here is what I learned about Qassia and back links is this… you contribute “intel” or snippets of “intelligence”. This can be very brief (one or two sentences) or full articles.
A link to the credited site will be displayed whenever your intel is viewed or referenced. The link will NOT be “nofollow”; it will be a QUALITY link.
There is more to the system as well. You also earn Qassia dollars which you assign to your websites for rank in the system.
You really have nothing to lose by trying it out. I contributed some brief intel that has provided me with backlinks - it seems to be working…
